James Tuck

James Tuck received his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in May 2018. While attending school, he served as the Executive Managing Editor for the Texas Tech Law Review and completed a course concentration in intellectual property.

Before attending law school, James obtained two undergraduate degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Grove City College, Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) where he graduated summa cum laude. While attending UTPB, he worked full time in the oil and gas industry for a brokerage firm that marketed and negotiated the sale of various oil and gas properties in Texas and various other states.

In between obtaining his undergraduate degrees, James enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and obtained the rank of Sergeant. During his time in the Marines, he deployed twice to Afghanistan and was awarded the good conduct medal. He also completed the Seattle Film Institute’s screenplay writing program.

James is currently admitted to practice before the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Texas. He is a member of the Dallas Bar association and Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. During his free time, James enjoys creative writing and spend time with his family.
