DALLAS – September 22, 2020 Carstens & Cahoon, a full-service intellectual property law firm based in Dallas, Texas, is pleased to add Stephen Liu as its newest partner. Liu started his law practice with Carstens, Allen & Gourley and is returning after a short stint with another law firm.

Liu’s practice focuses on all areas of patent law, including prosecution, litigation and counseling, as well as trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. His background in both chemical and electrical engineering will bring valuable technical understanding to our clients.”

Liu received his law degree from Southern Methodist University, where he was a member of the International Law Review and a student attorney in the Civil Clinic, representing indigent clients.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where he conducted graduate-level research in the field of cell and tissue engineering.
